Hi Johanna
Thank you for your kind comment!
Once you have taken the plaster cast, you soft soap the cast and then pour plaster into it in order to create a positive impression. When the plaster has set, you remove the bandages and you soft soap the positive, build clay walls around it and then you pour fresh plaster on top of that. Then you have your mold!
You can then place your clay inside your mold and create a torso....If you scroll through my blog you can find posts showing how to make plaster casts.
I hope this helps!

I love your torsos ,I have been playing with clay now for two /three years I was hopping you could explain how once you have taken
the plaster cast how you turn it into the clay form.I wood love to come along to one of your workshops but I am living stonehaven, Scotland, and also suffer from Cerebral palsy which makes it a little harder to travel and find suitable accommodation.
love your work Johanna x
