It was a mad dash to get ready in time – and I still haven’t put up labels on my work – I seem pulled in ten directions at any one time and I never realized what an absolute mad house it was going to be! The fact another exhibition I take part in opened the night before, the Rye Society of Artists Summer show, http://www.ryesocietyofartists.co.uk/index.html didn’t help! Still, a lot of people came during the first weekend and lot’s of work sold – labeled or not! And we still have another four days to go – so there’s time to get ready before it closes. In the foreground of the picture you can see Woobarb’s lovely dolls and padded notebooks and June Griggs cotton knitware, and in the background there’s Mary Beaney’s paintings of the field poppies around her home near Pevensey Castle and a couple of my ceramic torsos on plints.
This is a close-up of Woobarb’s work…
And this is Louise Bell’s patchwork quilts…
We’ll be closed Monday-Wednesday, but open up again Thursday-Sunday from 12-5 pm. Hope to see you!
