One of my favourite illustrators is Edward Gorey, the cartoonist. His daft, dark, whimsical humour has insipired some of the ceramic wall plaques on this page. Others stem from the days of building  my Bridal Chamber (see installations)  in the crypt of St Mary in the Castle in Hastings.
